The exterior of the duffel is 600D 17 oz PU-coated polyester and the bottom of the pack is 400D 24 oz PU-coated nylon.
These PVC-free materials are fused through a welding process that completely banishes moisture from the exterior. In fact, the duffel is rated to withstand complete submersion in a full meter of water for up to 30 minutes! Integrated shoulder straps allow you to carry the duffel like a backpack and they also serve as burly handles for a more traditional duffel-style carry. These can be removed entirely if not needed and you can utilize the strong woven handles on all sides of the duffel.
